6 Days Cappadocia – Mt Nemrut – Gobeklitepe – Mardin Tour from Istanbul
After your breakfast, at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport and take a flight to Cappadocia and upon arrival, welcome and transfer to your cave hotel. This afternoon, you can join an optional activity tour as ATV Safari or horse riding tours. Overnight in Cappadocia
You can book an early morning optional hot air balloon flight tour to enjoy the magnificent view of the valleys and the region by your guide. After breakfast, we will visit Devrent and Pasabagi valleys, to see the amazing fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Then head to the pottery town of Avanos. Watch the potters at work using kick wheels, a technique that has remained unchanged for generations. After lunch, visit Goreme Open Air Museum for the world’s most important Byzantine cave churches and the best-preserved cave wall paintings and frescos. We will visit the Underground city and discover how people live there Finally, you will be driven to Uchisar Castle, the highest point of the region, where we will have a fabulous panoramic view over Cappadocia. Departure in the morning from Cappadocia, we cross the Tekir plateau towards Adiyaman and Mt Nemrut. Along the way, our first stop will be the Seljuk Karatay Caravansaray. The next stop will be Pinarbasi for a short tea break then onto Kahramanmaras which produces Turkey's best ice cream! From here we pass through Adiyaman and visit Arsemia, once the capital of the Commagene Kingdom, before continuing to the ancient Severus (Cendere) Bridge and the Karakus Tumulus where members of the royal family were buried. This evening we will go to Mt Nemrut, ascend the mountain, watch the magical sunrise over the plateau, and visit the massive ancient rock statues. After the sunset we return to Adiyaman. Today we drive to Sanliurfa, visiting Ataturk Dam, Turkey's largest, along. After a short break, we drive to Gobekli Tepe, predating Stonehenge by some 6,000 years, some believe it is the site of the world's oldest temple. Lunch will be in Sanliurfa and after lunch, we visit the Harran, a village of Mud-Brick "beehive" houses mentioned in the book of Genesis where Abraham spent the last years of his life. we will visit the ruins of Harran including city walls, the oldest Islamic university, and the castle dated to the eighteenth century. We then drive back to Sanliurfa where we will stay and you will have a chance to see Mevlid-i Halil Mosque, where you can see the Prophet Abraham Cave and the Pools of the Holy Carp surrounding it, then wander around oriental covered bazaar. Today we drive to Mardin, the old city of Mardin is under the protection of UNESCO. The first visit is to Deyrulzafaran Monastery, the residence of the Metropolitan of Mardin. Throughout 630 years Hz. Prayers echoed in the language of Jesus on the walls of this ancient Monastery .. Şemse eda Maghbah still continues to bless the first lights rising from the east here. Next, we visit Mardin Center; Kırklar Church, Protestant Church, Latifiye Mosque, Mardin Museum, Cumhuriyet Square, PTT Building, Old Bazaar, Lower Bazaar, Arasa İş Han, Baharatçılar Çarşısı, Bakırcılar Bazaar, Ulu Mosque, Zinciriye Madrasa, Old Girls’ Vocational High School, Museum, from one abbara to the other … In this city it means connecting from one story to another.
